Shilon Resort is located at Shilon Bagh on the Kufri Chail Road, 24 kilometres from Shimla, the main bus stand and the railway station. This resort is just 16 kilometres from Chail and 8 kilometres from Kufri.
The resort has a total of 50 spacious cottages laid out over 6 acres of land. Each one of the cottages offers a breathtaking view of snow capped mountains and deep valleys surrounded by lush green forests. The rooms are categorised as Deluxe Cottages, Duplex Cottages an Interconnected Cottages. The Deluxe rooms are spacious and sophisticated, styled to resemble a Himachali village. Amenities here include satellite television, fridge, channel music, telephone and tea/coffee maker. The bathroom is well facilitated with bath linen and hot water geysers. Deluxe Cottages are airy and spacious, well lit and airy and every room has its own private balcony.
Dining facilities include More Please, the multi cuisine restaurant serving Indian, Mughlai, Continental and Chinese cuisine. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a complimentary breakfast for all in house guests. Downing Street, very aptly named is the sophisticated and cosy bar where you can enjoy a drink along with a game of pool. This place is furnished with comfortable green sofas and smart coffee tables. The view from Downing Street will take your breath away. Rain Shelter is the tea lounge which is a large seating area with a wall of windows and connected is Paploo Joint which is the card room. Paploo Joint has a collection of square and round tables and glass windows on the length of one wall.
The Pulpit is a spacious conference hall which can accommodate a maximum of 300 people. The audio visual equipment included in the halls is an overhead projector, flipchart, white board, television and VCP, microphone, podium and slide projector.
