Hotels in Shrivardhan - Shrivardhan is a city and a municipal council in Raigad district. It has developed into a seaside resort along with the nearby town of Harihareshwar which also has a Shiva temple. Srivardhan (taluka) is an ancient place of historical importance and is mentioned as being visited by Arjuna Pandav in his pilgrimage. It is well known place for traders in the past. One of the most attractive features is the beach which is known for its gentle winds soft sands and inviting waters. People looking for adventure can take a small boat to the north side of the bay and explore a region where the Peshwas or prime ministers of the Maratha kingdom originally resided. Other attractions include the Peshwa memorial and the Bankot fort that lie just 4 km away from the beach at a place called Bagmandala.
