Hotels in Igatpuri - Igatpuri is a city and a Hill Station municipal council in Nashik District. Generally considered to be just a railway junction between Mumbai and Nashik on the Central railway. Igatpuri is known for its Buddhist Pagoda for Medititation called Vipassana and wadapavs. The place is one of the best places to visit in Maharastra in monsoon. This is especially so because it lies in the Western Ghats surrounded by the highest peaks of the Sahyaadri range and attracts many trekkers and hikers. International Centre for Vipassana meditation called Dhammagiri supposedly the largest Vipassana Center is located here. Igatpuri can actually be a very appealing weekend getaway with its lush flora and relatively cool temperatures.
