Palolem in south Goa is a largely unspoiled beach inhabited by local fishermen and quiet tourists. This crescent-shaped beach is about a mile long with rocks jutting out into the sea on either ends of the beach. Its ideal for the uninitiated as the depth of the sea increases gradually and there are no strong currents. Away from the bustle of the city all you can see is white sand kissed by clear blue waters. You can loll around on hammocks sun-bathing and enjoying the sea breeze go dolphin-spotting in hired fishing boats; or go for long walks.
