Miramar in Goa is famous for its beautiful beach. ‘Miramar’ in Portuguese means viewing the sea and the beach is ideal for watching then Golden Sunset. One can see many cruise boats of Mandovi River that take a U turn here. To get to Miramar there are a number of buses from the Panaji bus stand. The Miramar beach is one of the famous beaches in North Goa although it has lost its grandeur and charm in recent times due to the privatization controversy. Conveniently located just 3 kms away from Panjim city and hardly 1 km away from Dona Paula it is also known as Gaspar Dias beach and is the meeting point of the Arabian sea and the Mandovi river. This beach is just perfect to spend a quiet evening and watch the picturesque sunset.
