Kakinada is a city and a municipal corporation in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is fourth largest city in Andhra Pradesh. The name of the town was originally Kaki Nandivada so named after the Nandi kings of Rajahmundry. Over the years it came to be called Kakinada. The first settlers in this picturesque coastal port town were the Dutch followed by the British.
